POLA, ORIENTAL MINDORO — August 24, 2026 — The Pola Municipal Police Station (Pola MPS) conducted a VAW Desk Seminar for barangay officials and VAW Desk personnel in Pola, Oriental Mindoro, to enhance their knowledge and capabilities in addressing cases of Violence Against Women and their Children (VAWC).

The seminar covered proper complaint reception and documentation, referral procedures, confidentiality, victim-sensitive responses, and coordination with Pola MPS and other concerned agencies.

An open forum was also conducted to address the participants’ questions, concerns, and challenges in handling cases of violence at the barangay level.

Through this initiative, Pola MPS further strengthened its partnership and coordination with Barangay VAW Desks to ensure a more prompt, effective, and victim-centered response to victims of violence, while promoting the protection of women’s and children’s rights and welfare.
