Pola, Oriental Mindoro — June 28, 2025. The Pola Municipal Police Station personnel, led by PMAJ FLORANTE M SUGIAN II, Chief of Police, in collaboration with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWD) headed by Ms. Mara L. Gumba, successfully conducted a new session of the POLENYO Kids program at 9:00 AM, with active participation from children of Barangays Mailbago, Maluanluan, and Casiligan.

POLENYO Kids, or Protection Of Life, Empowerment, and Nurturing Youth’s Obedience Kids, is a flagship initiative conceptualized by Pola MPS in partnership with various community sectors. The program aims to develop children’s moral values, good habits, positive attitudes, patriotic minds, and responsible citizenship through early guidance and engagement.

The June 28 activity kicked off with an engaging lecture on the 10 Rights of the Child, designed to help children understand and appreciate their rights in a safe, age-appropriate setting. This was followed by a moral and values orientation, focusing on respect, discipline, and character-building.

To further enhance learning and enjoyment, participants engaged in interactive games and group activities that fostered teamwork, communication, and fun. The children’s energy and enthusiasm reflected the warm, inclusive spirit of the program.

The MSWDO of Pola supported the event by providing refreshments, food packs, biscuits, and candies for the children, parents, and barangay officials in attendance. Their partnership reinforces the importance of community collaboration in promoting child welfare and protection.

This session of POLENYO Kids once again showcased the shared commitment of Pola MPS and its partners to build child-friendly communities and to empower the youth as future stewards of peace and development.
