POLA, Oriental Mindoro – The Pola Municipal Police Station (MPS) continues to strengthen its campaign against loose firearms after an intensified Oplan Katok led to the voluntary surrender of two firearms, highlighting the community’s growing support for initiatives that promote peace and public safety.

During the operation, a resident voluntarily turned over one shotgun and one pistol to personnel of Pola MPS, demonstrating responsible compliance with existing firearm regulations and a shared commitment to keeping the community safe.

The surrendered firearms were immediately processed, documented, and placed under police custody for proper disposition in accordance with established Philippine National Police policies and procedures.

The successful operation reflects the continuing efforts of Pola MPS to build stronger relationships with the community by encouraging voluntary cooperation and raising public awareness on responsible firearm ownership through dialogue and lawful engagement.

Pola MPS encourages all firearm owners to comply with existing laws and continue supporting police initiatives that help prevent violence, protect lives, and preserve the peace and order that every community deserves.
