The Pola Municipal Police Station formally launched the POLENYO Kids Program 2026 on January 25, 2026, at around 1:00 PM at the Covered Court of Barangay Pula, Pola, Oriental Mindoro, continuing its long-running initiative that has been implemented since 2023 to promote discipline, values formation, and holistic development among the youth of Pola.

The activity was led by PCPT JOSEPH MERCADO, Deputy Chief of Police, and was attended by barangay officials from Bacungan, Pula, Biga, Campamento, and Calima, along with parents and selected child beneficiaries of the program. The relaunch signifies the continued commitment of Pola MPS to expand the program’s reach and serve more children across the municipality in 2026.
During the program, PSMS Melisa S Carandang presented the concept of POLENYO Kids as a Pola MPS initiative implemented in partnership with various government agencies and community stakeholders who serve as sponsors for the program’s monthly activities. The initiative aims to strengthen values formation, discipline, and the holistic development of participating children from cluster barangays. She also discussed the Anti-Rape Law, emphasizing the importance of educating children about safe and unsafe touch as part of personal safety awareness.
Meanwhile, PCPL Pamela S Arcayos, PCR PNCO, facilitated organized group games and interactive activities designed to enhance teamwork, cooperation, discipline, and camaraderie among the participants. She likewise encouraged parents, barangay officials, and partner sectors to sustain their support and active involvement throughout the year-long implementation to ensure the program’s continued success.
Following the activities, PAT Rachell Nolos, Assistant WCPD PNCO, conducted an additional child-sensitive discussion on the Anti-Rape Law, stressing that sexual abuse and related acts are serious offenses punishable under the law. She also explained, in simple terms, the proper procedures for reporting incidents and identified trusted individuals and offices where concerns may be raised, including parents or guardians, barangay officials, teachers, and the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD).
Through the sustained implementation of the POLENYO Kids Program since 2023 and its continued rollout in 2026, Pola MPS aims to reach more young beneficiaries and further strengthen community partnership in nurturing disciplined, informed, and empowered children in the municipality.
