Pola, Oriental Mindoro — The Pola Municipal Police Station implemented comprehensive security, area, traffic, and route management operations during the visit of Vice President Sara Z. Duterte to Pola on the morning of Monday, January 12, 2026.

Pola MPS personally oversaw the safety and order of the public during the inauguration of the multi-function covered court at Leandro Panganiban Sr.-Tagumpay High School in Barangay Tagumpay, a coastal and remote community in the town.
Ahead of the event, police personnel were deployed early to conduct area security, crowd control, and preventive patrols, while major roads were closely monitored for traffic management and route security, ensuring smooth transit for the Vice President from arrival to departure.

According to Pola MPS, the security measures aimed to guarantee safe traffic flow, protection of attendees, and the orderly conduct of the program, which drew numerous residents, teachers, and students.
The covered court project fulfills an agreement from VP Duterte’s first visit to Pola in 2023, during the height of the oil spill incident affecting coastal communities in Oriental Mindoro. The initiative was completed in partnership with the Chinese Chamber group, with the participation of H.E. Jing Quan, Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines, and Steve Chua, President of the Filipino-Chinese Youth Community.
During the visit, VP Duterte also held a brief discussion with Mayor Jennifer “Ina” Cruz on local needs and community matters.
After the program in Pola, the MPS once again ensured route security and traffic assistance as the Vice President proceeded to Baco for an environmental activity.
The local government and attendees lauded the effective coordination between the PNP, LGU, and partner agencies, which resulted in a safe, orderly, and successful event.
