Alongside the community dialogue in the Municipality of Pola, PCOL EDISON V REVITA, Provincial Director of the Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office (ORMIN PPO), together with the Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit (PCADU) and the Pola Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by PMAJ FLORANTE M SUGIAN II, spearheaded the “Yakap ng Kapulisan sa Tribung Mangyan: Mangyan Help Desk in the Field” at Sitio Kabilang Ibayo, Barangay Batuhan, Pola, Oriental Mindoro.


Hon. Jennifer M. Cruz, Municipal Mayor of Pola, also attended the activity and expressed her full support for the program’s mission to extend compassion and public service to the indigenous Mangyan community. During the outreach, police personnel distributed grocery items to Mangyan families and personalized umbrellas to students—symbolizing the police’s protection and care for the indigenous youth.
The “Yakap ng Kapulisan sa Tribung Mangyan” forms part of Project S.H.I.E.L.D. of the ORMIN PPO, which aims to strengthen police presence and extend services to indigenous Mangyan communities. The initiative seeks to empower, protect, and educate indigenous peoples, ensuring they are not deceived or exploited by rebel groups, while fostering their participation in promoting peace and development across the province.
This activity reflects the PNP’s continuing compassion and commitment to indigenous communities—affirming that police service goes beyond law enforcement; it embodies empathy, equality, and genuine service to every Filipino.
