Pola, Oriental Mindoro — Despite the devastation caused by Typhoon Ompong on September 26, 2025PCOL EDISON V REVITA, Provincial Director of the Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office (PPO), together with PCPT JOSEPH MERCADO, Deputy Chief of Police of Pola MPS, personally visited the municipality of Pola to assess the condition of affected residents.

As part of their dedication to public service, they inspected rescue equipment to ensure readiness for emergency operations and visited evacuation centers to check on evacuees, offering support and encouragement to those affected by the storm.

In the aftermath of the typhoon, Pola Municipal Police Station personnel actively participated in clearing operations, assisting the local government in removing fallen trees, large debris, and electric posts that obstructed main roads and access routes. Their timely response helped restore mobility and ensure public safety in the affected areas.

According to PCOL REVITA, it is essential that the public feels the presence of the police as partners and protectors, not only in maintaining peace and order but also in safeguarding lives during calamities.
