Pola, Oriental Mindoro — With the town filled with celebration and crowds for the Sab-uyan Festival 2025 from June 19 to 24, the Pola Municipal Police Station led a highly effective security operation, resulting in a safe, peaceful, and orderly week-long festivity.
Under the leadership of PMAJ FLORANTE M SUGIAN II, Pola MPS maintained strong police visibility and operational presence at all major event areas, town roads, and strategic entry points. Supported by the 3rd Platoon of the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), force multipliers, and barangay tanods, the security team ensured that every program ran smoothly without major incident.

The 3rd Platoon of the 1st PMFC provided crucial reinforcement in crowd control, perimeter security, and rapid response. Community volunteers — including CACG, GACF, BPATS, and other barangay-based groups — also played a vital role, demonstrating solidarity and cooperation throughout the celebration.
Despite nightly programs drawing hundreds of residents and visitors — including celebrity appearances by Tekla & Ady, Sheree Bautista, Gabby Concepcion, Beauty Gonzalez, Dominic Roque, and bands like Tropical Depression and Repakol — no major untoward incidents were reported.
From the Bb. Ikatlong Lahi pageant, to the Poleños and Senior Citizens Night, every event was conducted in an atmosphere of joy and safety.
The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pola, led by Mayor Jennifer M. Cruz, significantly contributed through logistical support, venue coordination, and emergency preparedness — showcasing the importance of strong police-LGU coordination in ensuring the success of community events.
PMAJ Sugian remarked,
“This year’s peaceful and well-organized Sab-uyan Festival is a shared victory for the whole Pola community. Our thanks go to all our partners — from the LGU and PMFC to our barangay force multipliers. This proves that when we unite, every celebration can be safe and joyful.”
The successful security implementation during Sab-uyan Festival 2025 is not only a win for culture and entertainment — but also a resounding triumph for peace, discipline, and community-wide cooperation. It stands as a model of an effective whole-of-community approach to secure and vibrant public festivities.
