𝙋𝙊𝙇𝘼, 𝙊𝙍𝙄𝙀𝙉𝙏𝘼𝙇 𝙈𝙄𝙉𝘿𝙊𝙍𝙊 – In a swift response to a citizen tip-off, the Pola Municipal Police Station apprehended a male suspect on June 6, 2025, at around 10:00 AM for 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀, 𝗶𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝘁 8424 (𝗧𝗮𝘅 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗔𝗰𝘁) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝘁 10643 (𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗰 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘄).

According to the report, the station received a phone call from a concerned motorcycle-for-hire (habal-habal) driver, who observed a suspicious individual carrying what appeared to be illegal tobacco items. Acting immediately on the information, Pola MPS personnel proceeded to the reported location and verified the presence of the suspect.
Upon inspection, the suspect was found in possession of assorted tobacco products that lacked proper tax stamps and required health warning labels. During the initial investigation, the 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀 justifying the possession or sale of said products.
The suspect and the confiscated items are now in the custody of Pola MPS. Proper documentation is being finalized in preparation for the filing of formal charges under RA 8424 and RA 10643.
