Pola, Oriental Mindoro – PCpl Eugene L. Montalbo of the Pola Municipal Police Station received another commendation, this time from the local government of Pola, following his participation in the recently concluded Heroes’ Welcome for Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel who served as Special Electoral Boards (SEBs) during the recent elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
In recognition of his courage and service, PCpl Montalbo was awarded a Certificate of Recognition by Hon. Jennifer M. Cruz, the esteemed Mayor of Pola, during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held on June 2, 2025, at the Municipal Hall in Barangay Bayanan.
This commendation serves as a gesture of gratitude from the local government to public servants who are willing to put themselves at risk for the welfare of the many—particularly in high-risk areas such as BARMM. Mayor Cruz lauded PCpl Montalbo as a “model of true public service worthy of emulation.”
The entire Pola Municipal Police Station, led by PMaj Florante M. Sugian II, expressed their pride and full support for PCpl Montalbo, who continues to bring honor to their ranks and to the town of Pola.
Upon his return, PCpl Montalbo brought home not only the successful completion of his mission, but also the inspiration and embodiment of resilient, patriotic, and compassionate service as a law enforcement officer.
