Pola, Oriental Mindoro — The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has issued an amended advisory mandating all candidates and political parties to remove their campaign materials within five (5) days after the election, in accordance with Section 30 of Resolution No. 11086.

Under this resolution, all election propaganda materials such as posters, tarpaulins, and other campaign paraphernalia must be cleared no later than five days after the polls. The cost of removal shall be shouldered by the candidates responsible for the materials.

In line with this directive, the Pola Municipal Police Station (Pola MPS) has expressed full support and cooperation in enforcing the order. Officers are actively monitoring public areas and coordinating with barangay and local officials to ensure candidates comply.

According to PMAJ Florante M. Sugian II, Officer-in-Charge of Pola MPS, “Each candidate bears the responsibility of cleaning up after their campaign. The PNP Pola stands committed to ensuring a safe, orderly, and clean community after the elections.”

Both COMELEC and the Pola MPS continue to urge candidates and their supporters to take part in the post-election cleanup initiative, reinforcing the collective pursuit of a cleaner and more disciplined town.
