On April 26, 2025, at exactly 9:00 a.m., the April session of the POLENYO Kids program was successfully conducted through the efforts of personnel from the Pola Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by PSMS Melisa S. Carandang, Admin PNCO, under the supervision of PMAJ Florante M. Sugian II, Chief of Police, in partnership with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) headed by Mr. John F. Genabe.

The POLENYO Kids program—Protection of Life, Empowerment & Nurturing Youth’s Obedience—is an initiative of the Pola MPS aimed at educating young children on essential values such as safety, discipline, and good character.

For the April session, the MDRRMO provided age-appropriate lectures and demonstrations focusing on proper waste segregation and disposal, basic wound bandaging, and safety tips for swimming in rivers, seas, and pools. The session also included water safety techniques designed to help prevent drowning incidents.

Beyond learning, the activity also featured games, dancing, and the distribution of snacks, making the session both educational and enjoyable for the children.

This program seeks to broaden the knowledge of the youth on personal safety, basic first aid, and character formation while encouraging them to become responsible and safety-conscious citizens.
