Before the simulation, PMAJ Sugian conducted a detailed briefing at 8:00 AM where he underscored the need for alertness, discipline, and prompt response. He reminded all participants to give their best, as simulations like these are vital to assessing readiness and refining coordinated action.
In the simulated incident, the COMELEC Representative and school teacher of Panikihan Elementary School reported to the Pola MPS Tactical Operations Center (TOC) that unknown individuals forcibly took election paraphernalia while en route to the COMELEC Office. Reacting swiftly, COMELEC-deputized police officers PCpl Mark Aris R. Ferrera and PCpl Cristian F. Fortu initiated pursuit, while the duty TOC relayed the information to the COP.
PMAJ Sugian immediately activated the response team, with PMSg Jordan M. Ilagan, Intel PNCO, leading covert personnel to the reported area. At the same time, PLT Giovanni V. Selda, Quick Response Team (QRT) Leader, established a checkpoint along the national highway in Brgy. Batuhan. At approximately 9:29 AM, the suspect vehicle was flagged down, the paraphernalia recovered, and the suspects were taken into custody for proper documentation and disposition. A full inventory and personnel check followed under the supervision of PMAJ Sugian.
In attendance during the simulation was ๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฆ ๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ร๐๐ญ , ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ผ๐ณ 1๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ ๐ข๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ก ๐ฃ๐ฃ๐ข, who also served as Red Teaming Officer. He commended the overall conduct of the activity, citing good preparation, clear role designation, and effective coordination among all participating personnel.
While some areas were identified for fine-tuningโsuch as gear completeness and clarity in communicationโPLTCOL Basaรฑez emphasized these as natural points for improvement in any exercise and noted that the simulation achieved its primary goals. His feedback served as a constructive reminder to uphold high standards, especially as we approach election season.
During the post-activity debriefing, PLTCOL Basaรฑez congratulated the Pola MPS and all participants for their proactive engagement and commitment to operational excellence. He encouraged the team to maintain this level of preparedness and professionalism, stressing the importance of continuous learning and readiness.
This simulation exercise reflects the PNP’s collective effort to safeguard democracy, ensuring that all law enforcement personnel are equipped with the skills and mindset to respond to any election-related threat.
