Last February 14, 2025, students from Domingo Yu Chu National High School and Matulatula High School officially completed their 80-hour work immersion program with Pola Municipal Police Station in a joint graduation ceremony. Their Senior High Coordinator graced the event, Ms. Catherine Fortu, along with teachers Janelyn Novenario and Kristel Calbillo, Pola MPS personnel, and their Guest of Honor and Speaker, PMAJ FLORANTE M SUGIAN II, Chief of Police.

During the ceremony, the students were awarded Certificates of Completion, while those who exhibited outstanding performance received Certificates of Appreciation and Distinctive Awards, recognizing their dedication and excellence throughout the program. In appreciation of Pola MPS’ support and commitment to youth development, PMAJ FLORANTE M SUGIAN II, was also presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by the school for catering to the immersion program and providing the students with meaningful law enforcement experiences.

In his message, PMAJ SUGIAN encouraged the students to apply the discipline and values they have learned throughout their immersion, saying:
“Higit sa kaalaman sa batas at pagpapatupad nito, nais naming ipamana sa inyo ang diwa ng responsibilidad, malasakit, at integridad. Anuman ang inyong tahaking landas, tandaan ninyo na ang tunay na tagumpay ay nasa tamang gawain at tamang layunin.”

Beyond the formalities, the celebration became even more special as the students and officers shared a boodle fight, strengthening the camaraderie built over weeks of learning and training. The experience not only provided valuable insights into law enforcement and public safety but also left a lasting impact on the students, equipping them with lessons in discipline, responsibility, and service.

This graduation is a testament to Pola MPS’ unwavering commitment to empowering the youth of Pola. By continuously providing guidance, education, and hands-on experiences, Pola MPS ensures that young individuals are not only aware of the laws that shape their society but are also inspired to become responsible citizens and future leaders.

With this milestone, the immersion graduates walk away not just with certificates but with knowledge, values, and experiences that will guide them as they pursue their future careers. Congratulations to all the graduates!
