Pola, Oriental Mindoro – The Pola Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of PMAJ FLORANTE M SUGIAN II, Chief of Police, continued its unwavering commitment to public safety through relentless operations from January 28 to February 3, 2025. Even during the Chinese New Year holidays, the station remained fully operational, demonstrating its dedication to maintaining peace and order in the community.
One of the week’s major accomplishments was the successful execution of a search warrant, which led to the arrest of a suspect involved in illegal drugs and firearms. This operation underscores Pola MPS’s dedication to combating criminal activities and ensuring that those who pose a threat to public safety are held accountable.
Aside from crime suppression, Pola MPS sustained its proactive approach to law enforcement by conducting regular patrols, strategic checkpoint operations, and providing vital security assistance. These efforts were further reinforced through active engagement with local residents, community leaders, and organizations, fostering stronger partnerships that contribute to a safer and more harmonious environment for all.
Additionally, Pola MPS successfully culminated the immersion program for students, as students of Leandro Panganiban Sr. Tagumpay High School successfully completed their 80-hour Work Immersion Program. This initiative provided them with valuable hands-on experience and insights into law enforcement, aiming to equip young individuals with knowledge about public safety, discipline, and community service, further strengthening the bond between the police and the youth.
As Pola MPS continues its mission of upholding peace and order, it remains committed to serving the people—day and night, weekday or holiday. The dedication of the men and women of Pola MPS reflects their strong resolve to protect and serve the community at all costs.
