Pola, Oriental Mindoro – The Pola Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of PMAJ FLORANTE M SUGIAN II, has taken significant strides to ensure a safe and secure start to the 2025 National and Local Election campaign period. From January 7 to 13, 2025, key activities were undertaken to safeguard the community and uphold the integrity of the electoral process.

On January 12, COMELEC checkpoints were established at 12:01 AM in compliance with Memorandum No. 2025-001, with Election Officer III Joel M. Judrial joining operations by 8:00 AM. Pola MPS also participated in a Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) to prepare for potential election-related scenarios.

“We are fully committed to maintaining a safe and peaceful election season,” said PMAJ Sugian. “While checkpoints may cause minor inconveniences, we ask for the public’s patience and understanding as these efforts are vital for everyone’s safety.”

All operations were conducted transparently, with the use of body-worn cameras to ensure accountability.

The week showcased Pola MPS’s dedication to safeguarding the community, marking a productive start to the election period. Through collaboration with COMELEC, AFP, and other stakeholders, the team remains resolute in its mission to uphold peace and security during this crucial time.
